I have bought a second-hand Polo year 2002 1.4 four months ago with one month warranty. The car just broke down far from my place. The garage is telling me that the timing belt is broken and engine damaged. Their estimation is 1350 euros. My local garage thinks it is overpriced but it is more likely to cost around 700 to 900 euros. To bring back the car, it will cost me 300 euros. It may still be cheaper than having it fixed far from my place. How much would normally cost this reparation (minimum and maximum)? Does it worth to repair the car? Does it worth to bring back the car and having it fixed near my place? The car has also few other issues that I wanted to fix when the car broke down(water in driver side and rear seat passenger may be due to rain, defective/sticking load&brake proport. valves). Thank you for your advice in advance
