I have a VW Golf 1.2 TSI 7 speed DSG. I am currently not very happy with the cars fuel economy. While being gentle on the throttle it consumes 8L/100km combined. Its 9 years and odo reads 145000. I need to understand which part is due for replacement at this stage that can improve fuel economy? One complaint i have while driving ramps or steep hill the engine has to work too hard and i can feel something like a clutch slip. The car is currently under a service plan with VW, but please advice any garage who could replace parts cost effectively. Frank keane is charging 300 to replace front brake pads
