When are tyres considered dangerous because of age? I am sorry, I was not very specific in my previous question on this subject. I am not interested in the tyres' wear or damage, just age. When are tyres considered too old, to be used safely on a car, even if they are not worn, damaged and they look very good. Rubber loses its properties with age, but manufacturers use different compounds, and the way they or stored makes a difference. I understand 10 years is the most they should be used. Is that correct? What is your opinion? Thank you.
