Should I go for a petrol Audi?

Hi, I am driving a 2005 Audi A4 (B7) 1.8T 163 bhp for the last 9 years and love it. I feel it's nearly time to trade up and am eyeing up the new Audi A4. There's 120,000 km on my A4 and it's still driving well with the timing belt changed recently so I might hang on for a little while more. I've read good reports about the new 1.4 150 bhp petrol model but negative things about the resale value. Most reviews are on the TDIs with a passing reference to the entry 1.4 TFSI. In all likelihood, I'd hang onto any new A4 again so I'm wondering should I be too bothered about resale value. I only drive my car Monday to Friday and do about 12000 km a year most journeys < 20 km so my pattern is more likely suited to petrol. I haven't seen many second hand petrols so far so I might have to consider an ex demo TDI instead. (If the buyers of the petrols are like me, they are not buying to sell on after 12 months). Should I bite the bullet and go for a new 1.4 / 150 bhp TFSI? I'd hold it again anyhow. Thanks.
