Hands down the best garage in Dublin. The guys really know their stuff and are extremely helpful, especially around NCT time. My family has been bringing our cars here for years.

Oh dear, and it was all going so well. My VW Passat reached an unwelcome milestone of being over 100,000km with Leaseplan, so instead of going to a VW garage they parcel the service to a select group of garages that include Treacy's. Well, I come from Crumlin so even though it's out of my way I gave the service to them. Just to be nice, I also arranged to get two new tyres done to allow them to make some extra margins. Because I like building up relations with people. Everything went entirely to my satisfaction and I'd be happy to give them my continued business and 5 stars. One thing though, there was a odd smell in the car on the way back, but I put it down to the service. It was only when I got to the airport the next day that I discovered what the issue was. The two used tyres were just left on the boot, just in time to stink out the entire car for the four days the car was at the airport. When you spend €350 extra to be nice, on some high quality tyres and your reward is a stinky car and the bill to dump the tyres that's when you get one star and no further business. Yes, I am fully aware that the law has changed on tyre recycling and there is an extra cost, but I expect that to be part of the price. ************************** Update. Was contacted today by the owners to apologise for the incident and an explanation as to the circumstances. Turns out they had to use another third party for the tyres and of course, the tyres should never have been left in the car. So I bumping this up to three stars on the basis of the phone call but no more based on the incident itself and also that it took them a couple of months before they responded to the review.
