Appalling experience in this garage. So much for the 262 Vw sales event . Not good for the Vw brand, I wanted to enquire about purchasing a Tiguan R Line 262 and trade in my 252 Skoda Karoq, however the sales man wouldn't even talk to us about a trade in. Now, he was pleasant and polite, but I found it strange not to even consider working with a possible customer on buying a new SUV from their garage. My first experience of this. Will never consider buying anything from this garage again or wouldn't recommend. Hope this garage always has enough business to turn away new buyers. This section of the review was wrote on 20th May 2026, after reading the reply to my previous review and a phone conversation that occurred today with the sales manager from this garage. At no time were we given an opportunity to discuss a trade in price, we were literally told by the salea man dealing with us that he "wouldn't give us a price" "your car is too fresh". When we questioned this approach to selling cars we were informed that he, the sales man, wouldn't make anything on our car. When we left, we went straight to another garage in Carlow and traded my 252 for a 262, without any problem. The above reply does not in any way reflect what actually occurred when we spoke to the sales man. I would think more of this establishment if they owned their mistakes, instead of passing them onto members of the public, who would have been possible customer.
