Absolutely terrible experience with Niall McCarthy Car Sales in Clonmel. I traded in my 2009 Passat for €2,000 and bought a 2017 Mercedes E350. Less than 24 hours after collecting the car, multiple serious fault codes appeared on the dashboard (P052E, P06DA, and P0D1A). That alone says enough about the condition the car was sold in. When I returned to the dealership, I explained clearly that I no longer wanted the car because major problems showed up after only one day. Instead of handling the situation professionally, I felt pressured to keep the vehicle and was constantly pushed to accept repairs instead of cancelling the deal. I then asked for my old car back and was told it had already been sold within a single day. After previously agreeing my trade-in was worth €2,000, I was suddenly told it had only been sold for €750 and that I should just accept that amount or leave with nothing. Completely unacceptable. The attitude and behaviour during the conversation were shocking. Very rude, aggressive, and disrespectful customer service. I was spoken to in a way no customer should ever be spoken to. What concerns me even more is that the invoice stated I paid a €5,300 deposit, which is simply not true. I never paid that amount in cash. My only contribution was my trade-in vehicle. Seeing incorrect financial information on paperwork is extremely concerning. Overall, this has been one of the worst car-buying experiences I’ve ever had. I would strongly advise anyone dealing with this dealership to inspect every detail carefully, keep records of everything, and think twice before trusting what is promised. 🤷‍♂️

Bought a car from Gary and was delighted with the service. We travelled down from Galway and they made sure everything was ready for us upon arrival. Very easy to deal with both before and during the sale. Will be buying from them again in the future.

This Garage is really well stocked with some lovely premium cars all ready to go, I had no hesitation dealing with Niall, found him to be very helpful without being pushy, delighted with my new to me used car, recommended !
