Having had an extremely distressing and traumatic experience of my new EV completely shutting down in Athlone when I stopped on a journey from Dublin to Galway for a couple of days break I had the most amazing experience as the service manager, Michael Burke went out of the way to help me I had been stranded for almost 4 hours and eventually when having managed to arrange to have the car towed to the nearest Mercedes garage I felt like I was in a therapeutic environment, Michael recognised immediately my distress and took on full responsibility for looking after me under my warranty, even though I had not bought the car there. He provided me with a courtesy car and assured me that if my own car wasn’t ready by the time I was returning, I could hold onto this. However, he and his team worked hard and by the time I was returning home after two days had succeeded in resolving the issue. I am so grateful for their incredible care and the fact that in my opinion Michael went above and beyond his call of duty especially since I hadn’t purchased the car there. This is my 2nd time buying from M.M in Athlone. I was upgrading my Tiguan. I dealt with a salesman, Tara on both occasions. Tara never rushed me, was not at all pushy and always took the time to go through everything and was always very welcoming. There was never an issue answering any questions I had and he did a great handover with the car. Went through all the inside and had it all set up ready to go. Never long waiting for anything and any wait time there was I was asked on a number of occasions if I wanted tea of coffee. Brian in Finance was extremely informative and again, very welcoming. Nothing was ever an issue. Great overall experience in M.M in Athlone down to the two lads mentioned above! I would definitely recommend M.M to friends and family.
