Just picked up my 4th vehicle from Michael Barrable's and can honestly say that it is the best experience I have ever had with a dealership. The service provided is 1st class every time I have contacted or visited them. Reliable cars in brilliant condition, along with extremely honest staff that go beyond expectations to make sure the process is as smooth as possible. Its an easy decision to return each time, fair trade prices and great value vehicles. Along with this, the big warranty and AA roadside assistance you get shows that they care for their customers. I had the pleasure to do business with Yusuf, he's an asset to the company and would happily deal with anytime, thanks for the great experience once again! Would recommend them to anyone who values peace of mind, honesty and fairness when making the decision to buy or trade.

Great company to deal with. Bought my car online and Neil has gone above and beyond to make sure I had all the information I needed. Personalised videos were unexpected but very much appreciated! Would highly recommend for both customer service and quality of vehicle.

My wonderful experience purchasing a Toyota Yaris Cross from Michael Barrable Motors dealership in Swords. From start to finish, the service was exceptional. Regardless of a customer's budget, it is clear that your team treats everyone as a valuable client. I found it very easy to get in touch with your staff, and they were more than happy to explain every detail, no matter how small. I want to specifically highlight Josh Tilly for his honesty, professionalism, and down-to-earth approach. He truly went above and beyond to help me throughout the process. And even the other sales staff Zak engaging with other customers. He was incredibly welcoming and friendly, providing exemplary customer service to everyone he assisted. It was a pleasure to see such a high level of professionalism from all members of staff at Michael Barrable Motors. You have a fantastic selection of high-quality vehicles, and I am so pleased with my purchase that I will never go anywhere else for a car again. I will be highly recommending Michael Barrable Motors to others.

Excellent customer experience purchasing a car from Michael and team especially Yusuf in Sales who I had most dealings with. Very professional outfit; pleasant to deal with, great follow up and car delivered in pristine condition with warranty and AA membership included. I'll definitely be a return customer. Well done and thanks again guys.

This review is backdated to 2024 for when I first purchased a vehicle from Michael Barrable Motors - a 2016 Mazda 6 (2.2 diesel). I initally dealt with Neil to view this vehicle. The first red flag was that the engine was running when I arrived at the dealership. If you know anything about cars, you'll know that a cold start reveals so much of an engine's faults and I believe the dealership deliberately tried to hied the vehicle's faults during the viewing. I ignored my gut instinct here as the folks seemed really friendly. Similarly, during the financing stage, I had specifically asked to do 10% deposit down, but they somehow forgot this on the day of collection and charged me more than this. I went through with it, as I had no choice rather than to go through an entire finance application again. Later that day, while driving my newly purchased Mazda, the dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree, the gearbox went clunky and the power disappeared. Little did I know that MB motors had sold me a vehicle with one of the worst engines in modern history — infamous for premature failures. Over the next few weeks, the car spent more time at the garage getting diagnosed and 'fixed' instead of with me. And as per Irish law, If a purchased car is faulty, you can cancel the contract altogether within the first 30 days and ask for a full refund. When I bought this up with the dealership's CEO, he flat out refused me. Again, out of politeness, I gave them the benefit of the doubt (my mistake!). I soon decided that the only way out of this was to purchase another, more reliable vehicle from their stock to get out of the Mazda deal. To their credit, they offered me a good trade in on the Mazda, despite its faults and I purchased a 2013 BMW 1 series. This vehicle was orders of magnitude better than the Mazda but yet again, I felt short changed. Firstly, I had to put another €1500 deposit down to get this vehicle (so in total, I spent nearly €4K at this garage in 2 short months). Secondly, having bought a few cars in my life, the one thing that stands out to me is when a dealer offers me a full tank of fuel upon collection. It's a simple gesture considering the customer is spending thousands for you -- surely you can afford to fill the tank. The BMW was fairly reliable, but it had a terrible condensation issue in its left headlight. I had specifically asked Neil to rectify this before collection and seemingly they had done a temporary fix, but not long after, the condensation returned as the weather got colder. The car supposedly had "6 months warranty" from the garage. Having purchased it in August '24, it meant my warranty was valid until February '25. When I contacted Neil to rectify the headlight as it had gotten worse -- radio silence. I ended up paying out of pocket to fix the issue. With all this in mind, I would ask that folks be careful when dealing with MB Motors. I'm sure some will have good experiences all round, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case for me. I hope what happened with me won't be repeated for future customers. Good day to all the folks at MB Motors!
