Booked in for a standard yearly service. Was booked weeks in advance. Was offered 9.30 or 1.30pm. I went with 1.30. Night before got a text saying they would need my car until 5.30! Brought car in at 1.20 and the girl at service desk said car would be ready for 5/5.30pm. I said that I live in Balbriggan and without my car I would have to sit and wait. Could it be any quicker. She said "No problem." Rang me at 4.10pm to sell me additional optional service items. Car wasn't even in for the service yet. I got my car back at 5.40pm - 4 hours 20 minutes for a basic service. Malones apparently only issue 2 time slots and keep your car for half a day. I was never told this on the phone. I was never offered a lift to town or a loan car. So I spent half a day sat in a Costa in a retail park. For this reason I won't be back and was unhappy

Even worse than the Navan branch Left waiting for over an hour as people walked in the door and got served before me. Sales staff walking past and ignoring you. Hadn't even the manners to shake hands or introduce themselves. Trying to flog a 24K car covered in scratches and chips and then told sure it's secondhand not new and all be fixed with valet (why not have it right for viewing) Rusty razor blade beside boot hinge, was told might be from a valeter after saying the car needed one to excuse the state it was in Told me there's a problem with my auto between 2nd and 3rd gear, I dunno how he made it into 3rd gear in a tiny carpark As ever sell sell sell and won't listen to other places cheaper, or attempts to get something extra thrown in for such an expensive car Told I'll be coming from Dublin to look at the car then was saying people were test driving it earlier Couldn't even tell me if satnav or android auto in the car and mumbled something when pressing the map button didn't work Tools missing from boot Said would ring about satnav/android auto and never did

"Terrible customer service. A staff member in the parts department deliberately put me on hold for 5 minutes. When I redialed, he acted like he couldn’t hear me—twice. The third time, I asked if he was unwilling to help, and suddenly, he could hear just fine—only to hang up on me. A bad employee can damage a company’s reputation. Hope you improve your service. All the best!"

My first car service as a new Toyota customer was excellent. All the team were engaging and keen to solve a technology issue I had. Malones have a customer charter on display and it is rare to experience a service business where every person you meet lives up to the aspirations in their charter. Yesterday the Malones team did so. I highly recommend them.
