Simon Deane is a cowboy . i sent my car to him for storage which he took home without my permission. The car was subsequently stolen from his home address that evening. Simon didn’t have the backbone to be honest about the situation from the get go. A spineless weasel of a man. Having followed Simon for years on social media, I assumed my car was in good hands. How wrong I was. Be very careful doing business with this 🤡 Was particularly happy to hear his business went up in flames a few weeks later. You are in no position to preach ethics to me in any way. You lied, tried to cover up the truth on multiple occasions and gave a totally different story to your insurance company. Sit down. Your nothing more than a liar. Bizarre you question my character when you shafted a man who’s wife is terminally ill. You blocked me from social media as I made one comment on your post. Seems you don’t like being called out. Again my comment about your being spineless and a weasel of a man rings through. You make it sound like the car was stolen from your premises when in fact you took it to your home address without permission. A car that had no NCT, Tax and had not been on the road in over 4 years and needed recommissioning. Totally disrespectful and unacceptable Again, you simply have an inability to be truthful. My brother was the one who told me at 2pm in the afternoon that the car was stolen, many hours later. You did not have the backbone to ring me in person and tried covering your tracks and finding the car before you mentioned anything. This is indisputable. You are right I sought compensation which is not something you were going to offer. My car went to you in perfect condition as shown by the picture below and was and damaged due to your stupidity and negligence. Even with the repairs, this has hurt the value of my car. Of course I wanted compensation for this. You offered a years free storage and I declined but had requested €1000 that I could store the car somewhere else for a year. This €1000 wasn’t a figure pulled from the sky, this is what it would have cost me to store the car with you for a year, a very fair request. You forgot to mention that. At no point was I out to gouge you, something I told you on the phone. You should have manned up and offered compensation as it was the right thing to do. But again, no backbone. Having just paid the bill on my car as the repairs have just been completed, I am out of pocket by over €1300. Your insurance did not cover the full amount of repairs. I want this repaid. Why would I have let you fix the car? I’ll remind you that your workshop caused an inferno which damaged many peoples cars. I had zero confidence in your storage or workshop abilities like many other customers at that point. Thanks for the invitation to call in and I will do just that next week when I am home. I’ve bought already 3 cars from Simon and Simon - such a stunning selection of cars for nearly any budget, and more importantly amazing after sale customer care. All 3 cars were in great condition with low mileage, ready to go to any car show. The latest one - Mercedes w201 has only 78k km (less than 50k miles!) in its 34 years, what a find by Simon and team! I had a small mechanical issue with one of the cars after the purchase - we arranged a repair and I was immediately provided with a replacement car (a wonderful experience on its own - a powerful beast with 250 bhp!). Was receiving updates on the repair and timing along the way in text messages, which was really nice. Always feeling welcomed and respected even buying comparatively cheaper cars. I could really feel their love to cars, knowledge and professionalism. I will for sure be back again and trade in for the next car!

Belated review better than never * I Was selling my immaculate Porsche Cayman and within a few hours of it being advertised, Simon was in touch and a deal was made. They organised pick up of my car. I was skeptical at first as I didn't know Simon or much about deane motors, but Porsche Club Ireland confirmed everything was fine and the deal went as smooth as butter. The car was treated to a full detailing by their in house pro detailers. Thanks again to the 2 Simons.

I've been following Deane Motors for several years now but only recently got a chance to do business with them, and it's exceeded all my expectations. I was selling my 595 Essesse through them, which was IE car, but was with me in the UK. They picked up my Abarth from London, prepped it and sold it in time for Christmas, and got me as good of a deal as I could get myself given the circumstances. And I do know what I'm talking about. I bought and, eventually, sol some niche cars like a manual 3.4 987, e30, i01 i3 in a country where electric cars are niche, and a Lada 1200 as a track car, and every time you sell something like that it's not a fast or pleasant experience. With Simon, however, it was easy and painless, and I wish everyone would do business like he does. If you're buying/selling something unique, I'd 100% recommend them. 10/10 experience. Also great an pleasant Instagram and a great contribution to car culture in Ireland in general.
