Bought a Peugeot 508 from Finn, top honest bloke to deal with had a few issues since but all have been sorted out very fairly and to my satisfaction. Delighted to have found them!

Just bought a 132 VW Golf from Bec and Maluu. The car is immaculate inside and out. Looks brand new, hardly a spec of dust in the yoke. Drives great. Won’t be going anywhere else in the future. The day after I bought it the car made it from drogheda co Louth to cork city on a little over quarter tank. car is efficient.

I went to buttersteam motors yesterday to buy a 2013 golf R I had cash (no trade in) and was a serious buyer. The guy I met was sound and courteous. On the test drive I asked what the warranty covered to which he replied just the gear box. To make it worse he wouldn’t even knock a penny off for cash and wanted the full €18999. The car is advertised with a 3 month warranty. It took me an hour to get there in heavy traffic and then an hour back. I feel he was unrealistic in wanting full price for a car with almost no warranty and he just wasted my time. He said that he doesn’t give warranty on performance cars because recently he sold one to someone who drove the bag out of it while it was still under warranty and he had to repair it. To which I told him that guy was an idiot and most guys look after their cars and mind them anyway I’ve bought many performance cars and always been given a warranty and just think he is not been reasonable.

Very poor customer service. When asking questions I was treated with sarcasm, for example when I asked the reason for selling (why the previous owner want to sell it), a very normal question, the person answered “I don’t know if you noticed, but we sell cars here, that’s the reason”. Like?! If this is how they treat someone that wants to buy, imagine how they will treat you after?

My wife contacted the sales person to meet at 2oclk, when I got to the garage there was just the mechanic, I eventually got in touch with the sales person, he told me he won't be there for an hour, I waited down the road for over an hour, sent him a message, asked if he was near, or we could meet the next day, I waited for a while no reply, I was waiting with my father in law, then my wife rang him from her work place , told her he will be another half hour, never replied to me , I told him it's a terrible way to do business, never even got in touch, I was willing to pay cash for the car as I wanted it for my wife. Terrible way to treat a client.
