I have just purchased a car from Western Motors , Galway , I was dealing with Gabriel , Carla and Tom , I have to say the service was excellent from start to finish, was so impressed . Gabriel was very efficient and professional . Nothing was a problem . Tom even drove over to Co.louth on his birthday to deliver it . Would 100% recommend these guys. I can't compliment them enough, Thank you for your excellent service .

We've been a loyal Volkswagen family for decades, but after owning the ID.4 since 2022, we’re seriously questioning that loyalty. This car has been nothing but trouble from the start – a constant stream of problems, malfunctions, and headaches. What once was a trusted brand in our household has turned into a source of endless frustration. It’s not just us, either. My brother and sister both purchased ID.3s around the same time I got my ID.4, and they’ve had continuous issues with their cars too. From faulty electronics to unexplained faults, it’s clear these vehicles are riddled with problems straight from the factory. The most recent issue with my own car is especially infuriating: after a Volkswagen garage made a change to the internal code, the dashboard lit up with warning lights. The cause? Their own work. Yet Volkswagen refuses to take responsibility or fix the issue. We’ve contacted Volkswagen Ireland and our local dealership multiple times, only to be met with useless responses and unhelpful staff who have no idea what they’re doing. It’s shocking to see how far the brand has fallen. The quality of their recent vehicles – not just the ID.4, but the ID.3s as well – has completely deteriorated. What used to be solid, dependable engineering has become buggy software, poor build quality, and non-existent customer service. Volkswagen used to stand for reliability. Not anymore. Avoid the ID lineup, and think twice before trusting Volkswagen with your money. We certainly won’t be back — and we’re not the only ones.

Dropped van in for service, specifically asked about starter issues, was told everything was fine but needed to come back in a month for software update. Came back for the software update, once again asked them to check the starter, was once again told there was no issue. Three weeks later, van wouldn’t start so had to get it towed to a garage where they told me the whole starter had to be replaced. Have emailed and called Western Motors several times and got no response.

First class experience before, during and after the deal with WM. I dealt with Paul Roche who was able to find the car and deal I was looking for. After sales was also excellent, including the service team. No hesitation in recommending WM. Gerry Mc Manus

Service - €280+ behaved as if they were doing me a favour. On collection found the car had not been washed, computer system tyre pressure widget had not been finally saved. Had to prompt service person for review of the service (review was not volunteered). Honestly, for the amount of money a service costs they could at least be courteous.
