I got my Cupra Formentor Hybrid in McCoy Cupra several months ago. They have been very professional and the whole process was quick and smooth. Peter in sales is a great and patient lad. A few days ago, the first service was due. Louis in the service department was a pleasure to deal with, he's been really helpful, well-mannered and he's always answered all my questions in a professional manner. The car itself is great. It's a pleasure to drive, very economical (even in winter), and looks and feels stunning.

While fairly happy with most of the services I received here, here is the reason behind one star review. I am writing to warn potential car buyers about a recent experience I had with an add on product I purchased that has left me feeling completely betrayed. I purchased a new Formentor from this dealership while ago. During the financing process, the dealer recommended an add-on insurance - product called Cosmetic Repair Insurance. I was assured that this insurance, underwritten by Mapfre Warranty, would provide solid coverage for paint repairs. Confident that my car has some extra cover which could be handy, I agreed. However, my trust was completely misplaced. Mapfre Warranty = absolutely zero response and claim stuck in limbo for ages. I've only received initial response to provide the estimates for the claim and that was it. I strongly advise anyone considering purchasing a vehicle to be extremely cautious, especially when it comes to add-on insurance products. Do your own thorough research and verify the information independently. I wish I've read Mapfre reviews before buying this product.

If I could rate McCoys zero stars, I would. I purchased a 2023 seat arona in McCoys in January. It broke down and I discovered after it was the clutch. When I went into McCoys yesterday, I was told that if the issue is the clutch that the warranty would not cover the cost. Even though it only had 30,000km and I've been driving 13 years. I previously had a seat Leon for 6 years (which I traded with them no issues). I was told numerous times by Barry, it could have been driver error. I was told that if I called seat road side assistance that they would have covered the tow. However, I was not informed of this service when I purchased the car 6 months ago. The tow would not be covered if it was found that the clutch was the error. Furthermore, Barry informed us that in other car dealers that they get rental cars. This could cause the damage to the clutch due to numerous drivers. At no point were McCoys especially Barry apologetic. He was extremely condescending and left us with no answers. A car that has only has 30,000 kms should not break down after 6 months. I am writing this to warn potential buyers of how McCoys are to deal with.

My second time purchasing a car from McCoys. Peter made everything really seamless and the overall experience from test driving the car to picking it up was amazing. I was in and out within 20 minutes when I was picking up the new car with no hassle at all.

My wife and I have both purchased new Cupras in the last 6 months from McCoy Motors. The customer service here is absolutely fantastic from Aideen in sales and Margaret in finance who make the process so easy, and when the dealer principle makes the effort to thank you for your custom you know you're in good hands. I would advise anyone who is in the market for a Cupra or SEAT to call into McCoy's in Lucan and you will understand this 5 star review for yourselves. Many thanks to Aideen, Margaret and Art McCoy Jnr, you guys are in a league of your own when it comes to customer service. Regards Darren
