First time at Laharts as my local VW dealer switched to Toyota (Tom Murphy). From the booking to walking out to a well washed car (with a new 12V battery), my experience was very positive. The staff were friendly and efficient, the car was ready when stated. A ride to and from Kilkenny town was provided and so I spent a delightful morning in a beautiful setting whilst a professional team dealt with my vehicle. Big thanks to Laharts, I will be back come service time.

Staff took the time to diagnose a challenging issue, provided a detailed explanation and budget and took the time to test drive the repaired vehicle over a couple of days to confirm the issue was resolved. Was en route to meet my elderly father at Laharts about three weeks ago. He’s changing his VW car and I’m changing mine. He phoned me before I got there today that the sales assistant had asked him his name, checked it on their system and said “you’ve been in here before and haven’t bought from us”…. My dad said that was right but that had also bought cars there over the years. He felt really unwelcome. Am still baffled by the statement from the sales assistant. We got a great deal in another VW garage and needless to say, if you’ve an elderly relative, don’t send them to Laharts alone, they could also be on the receiving end of ageism❤️‍🩹
