What fantastic service I received from Caimin at jd swords. I'd reviewed other dealers renault, mg and even though the id3 was slightly more expensive Caimin went through everything and convinced me it was the best choice. I'm delighted with my car and the service I received.
Would not recommend Joe Duffy VW. I went to look for a certain new car and was told they had none available to test drive. Brian showed me one that was absolutely filthy with dog hairs and McDonald's wrappers as it was being driven by a staff member. When I got the car I wasn't happy with it but I was essentially told the issues I had with it were all in my head. They were not. It was a very firm ride due to sports suspension and 19" inch wheels. He ignored my calls and emails and another staff member told me that changing the wheels or car wouldn't be an option even though Brian said the opposite when trying to sell me the car! I've finally traded it into a different dealership and their customer service has been exceptional. I won't be using Joe Duffy VW again.
Avoid at all costs, the gearbox on my be tuigann allspace began to go into and out of emergency mode, looked up some vw forums and read that it was either damaged battery or faulty gearbox, brought it to Joe Duffy (I had bought the car new from them) and advised that I had been experiencing battery issues such as engine stating being a bit laboured and auto start/stop not working. Unfortunately the diagnosis was new gearbox required, they advised that the battery was fine, €2k later got the car back but the cruise control had been deactivated, rang the Joe Duffy and the insisted that this was a completely unrelated issue and insisted that I had to pay €190 upfront for a diagnostic test. Paid it and sent the car back, got a call to say that they couldn’t do the diagnostic test because the battery was dodgy and it would be another €450 for a new battery. When I told them my initial issue was in relation to the battery they insisted that the battery was fine two weeks previously and it was a separate issue, I had had enough and told them I’m taking the car back, got the battery replaced elsewhere and miraculously all my issues were resolved, starting works, auto stop start works and
Let me share my experience and feedback: Appointment: Good! 😊 Quotation for service: Good!😊 Customer service: Excellent! Delivery time: One day delayed but it's okay! Replacement vehicle: Yes, provided! Satisfaction: Bad 😞😞😞 I apologize for writing this here, but I wanted to provide feedback to help improve your services in the future. Recently, I brought my VW ID.4 in for a software upgrade and to address a recurring issue (Error drive system: Please Visit Workshop) that has been present since I purchased the car in 2021. I understand that the software upgrade took an extra day to complete, which was agreed upon in advance. When I picked up the car, I confirmed with the service technician that the error would not occur again, and he assured me that it wouldn't happen for at least the next two years. However, shortly after leaving the dealership and driving near the airport, the same error message appeared on the display, causing me to panic and pull over. I contacted the dealership and spoke to the service engineer, who agreed to arrange for the error to be fixed the next day, but unfortunately, nothing happened after that. Additionally, the rear camera was not upgraded, and it was not working properly, which left me feeling extremely disappointed. The dealership informed me that they could not fix the rear camera and that I would need to take a day off to have it fixed elsewhere. I was frustrated that they did not inform me of this before returning the car to me, especially after testing it. Would be happy if the corresponding team sort this out please. In the event that this error continues to occur, my next course of action would be to sell the car. And a Big No to Volkswagen in my life.
I have been a loyal customer of Joe Duffy Swords for over 8 years. During this time I have felt that the service was a little overpriced but thought "it's a main dealer". Unfortunately my car recently needed some essential repairs, replace rear shocks, replace rear pads and discs and a new radiator. I was quoted over €2,200 for this work which I felt did not sound like value for money. So, I shopped around and decided to go to a reputable garage recommended by a few people and with excellent google reviews. I was able to get the work done for €1,200 less that what Joe Duffy's quoted who had the cheek to charge me €190 for a diagnostics check ( I had already known about the breaks has recently had it serviced but was told it could wait a couple of months) so that element shouldn't have been included in the diagnostics. I also had an issue with the rear parking sensors which they didn't even bother to check but told me they couldn't find a fault with it, but it still beeps intermittently as soon as you start the engine. I am planning on changing my car this year, but I definitely won't be giving any more business to Joe Duffy's.
