I left my car into Joe Duffy VW charlestown to be fixed (engine light, glow plug light) I was assured it would be fixed that day if I got it in early, so I brought it at 8am, 6.5 hours later I got a call (2:30pm) that they diagnosed the car do I want them to go ahead with the repair? I said yes and again I asked would it be fixed by the end of the day, as I needed it to drop my 1 year old son home, which he replied ‘ah yeah’ if not they would call me, 5:30pm came still no call, keep in mind they close at 6pm, so I rang them and spoke with a female representative. I explained the situation and asked is my car finished as it was previously stated it would be, she went and checked with the technician, she advised me it won’t be finished that it would be 10am the next morning, I asked for a replacement car which she replied were all out with customers, this left me with no car and no way of getting my 1 year old son back home. She put me back on hold for a few short minutes, then told me my car would in fact be ready for 6:10pm, I went up collected my car, she apologised and I paid the €370, as I was leaving she explained the dashboard lights would go away once I drove it for a bit, so I left and brought it onto the M50 for 1 hour, to which the lights failed to switch off. I rang back the next morning and explained it to a male representative to which he said best he could do is get me in a week later? After paying for it to be fixed, which it wasn’t fixed I drove up to the shop to speak to someone hire up to resolve the situation. I spoke with the Manager and she said ‘she explained my car was PARTIALLY fixed when i collected it’. What she actually said was the Particle filter light would go away once you drive it. The particle filter light wasn’t on, the engine light was on and glow plug light were. I nor would anyone in their right mind would leave with a PARTIALLY fixed car but more importantly why are they letting partially fixed cars out of their garage? I told her that was unacceptable to charge someone for a “PARTIALLY FIXED”. She then started to act as if I was being irrational, when all I wanted was what I paid for, a fixed car! Is the car safe to drive? Is it safe to have my 1 year old son in the car? Am I doing more damage to the car if I continue to drive it? None of these where answered. Very poor service from start to finish, specially with the manager and her resolve of the situation which was to send me away with a PARTIALLY FIXED CAR, to leave me drive around in it with my 1 year old son and potentially cause further damage to the car!! VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, AVOID!!

Bought a new id 4 here . Couldn’t fault them from start to finish . I’ve bought a lot of cars over the years from different garages but nothing could touch the experience I got from these guys . The sales person Alex o Neill went over and above the call of duty . Delivered on every aspect of deal . Always on hand to keep me informed. Answered every call and email promptly. A true honest gent . Other garages should learn from these guys . Five stars and more

Everyone that has a car knows sometimes you bring your car in for a service and it's ended up being a bigger bill than normal or sometimes you have an engine light on and you're expecting a big bill and it's only a software update, but for me I come here a good bit and the only thing that never changes is how professional Kaitlyn & Ella at reception are, they always go over and beyond when I have my little girl with me they give her toys to play with and makes my time there stress free. My little girl calls them her friends that shows how good they are she loves going to the car shop 🤣

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Alex was great. Handled our change of car from query to sale with ease. Professional at all times and completely customer focused. Couldn't recommend them more.

Bought a Golf GTI from Joe Duffy North in December 22, there was a bit of a scratch on the back of the car before purchasing which they offered to fix, they collected the car and dropped it back all within 2 days, would highly recommend Jason and Thomas who made the process of purchasing very easy.
