I went into the Navan showroom the week before Christmas to look at an ID4,I ended up paying a deposit on an ID5,I stressed from the start I needed the car in January, the car was supposedly in the German port and I was told I would have it mid January,I was happy with that,I went into the showroom mid January and was told the car wouldn’t be in Ireland until 31st January and it would be with them a week later,I wasn’t happy with this but felt I’d no choice only wait,I mailed the salesman 30th January for an update and got the reply ‘all cars take approximately 12-16 weeks from order date but sometimes a bit sooner,it’s looking like end of Feb or worst case March, fingers crossed it will come soon’ That was a very different story from what I was told the first day,I went round to the showroom and spoke to the manager,I told him I wasn’t happy with that and wanted my money back,he asked me to hold off till Tuesday and he would try and get more information and ring me,it’s now Thursday night and needless to say he didn’t ring, this mess has caused me endless hassle already, and no end in sight,I wish I’d stayed away from Joe Duffy motors,I certainly won’t be dealing with them again. UPDATE: it’s now 6th March and still no further on,still being told it’s on the way,and should be here soon, but the weeks have turned into months and still no sign of it,also I got a response from the original review asking me to send it to customer care,I did that and the next day I got a mail from Joe Duffy North Dublin saying they had received it and forwarded it to the Navan branch,no idea how they received it,the response from Navan was frosty to say the least,a total shambles!
Had a Bizarre visit to the garage today. Vw Transporter in for repairs under the manufacturer warranty. Upon collection I was handed the keys and told everything was good to go in relation to the van. While approaching the front of the vehicle It was obvious something did not look right. Upon inspection the Bonnet protector (see images)had one of the clips broken causing the protector to be loose. To add insult to injury the Garage attempted to repair the clip using Glue yes Glue🤦♂️on top of this the garage did not have the decency to make me aware of this upon collection.I have never seen such a ridiculous level of workmanship from a main dealer.Complaint lodged with VW Ireland.
Bought the 1yr old VW from them. Found it in an ad online and all looked perfect. Rang them and was told to wire money sooner so that they can put it on trailer to send it to Cork. Well the trailer broke apparently once I sent the money, the communication following that was difficult as I had to call multiple times to check the delivery status. But once I got the car there was only one key, I still took the delivery as the impression was this will be handled together with the logbook. Unfortunately radio silence from the dealer, the key is gone and I need to buy one for 500+ now. The second key is required to become the primary user of the car, it nags you constantly about it and is necessary to create an account in VW connect and to be able to use the digital services in the infotainment system (like update the maps).
Bought a222 Tiguan recently here very happy only issue I had was the front tyres were close to needing to be changed. Had a bit of a debate with the guys and they sorted it then Not bad to deal with will check back when I’m looking to change again 👍
Went in to browse walked out with a new car colm very persuasive ( sales pitch ) lol.but was right what he said i was looking at a certain suv but he said I didn't need it and he was right I'm delighted with my new car have been dealing with VW Navan for 18 years and I won't go anywhere else they do certainly look after me !
