Terrible experience here due to the man pictured below , I came to view a 2002 Toyota Corolla and when inquiring about it after arriving the man below consistently belittled me for my appearance and spoke over me also spraying his very strong perfume on himself (and me) throughout, he directed me to his very rude staff who were more interested in a very loud Armenian football match they were watching than making a sale , when I finally got to inspect the car they what seemed like purposely parked other cars in front of it to prevent a test drive, I also overheard some staff telling other staff to turn off the CCTV, after noticing some shirts (clearly belonging to the owner pictured below ) and McDonald’s wrappers in the back seat despite assurances of the interior being valeted, my concerns were met with this man talking over me again and repeatedly asking if I like his suit and does he look like an idiot who would lower himself to haggle with the likes of me, despite all I genuinely loved the car and gave my contact info while shopping around for more options, after leaving I received upwards of 25 threatening messages from the owner in Armenian which I translated with google and found to be threats on my and my family’s lives, avoid this place at all costs Edit: This man cannot provide CCTV as he states below, he has told me to keep my mouth shut , please leave my family alone
CAUTION: After posting my initial review, I received several text messages from the seller which I personally found threatening and abusive. In those, he warned of legal action and stated, “will take whatever money or property you have.” I found the tone and wording of these messages very unsettling, and they have only reinforced my decision to share my experience publicly. Total disappointment buying a car here. I bought a 7-seater Ford Galaxy in January 2025. The car was priced about €1,500 below market value, and I was told this was due to scratches on the bodywork – which seemed fair at the time. However, after the sale, a number of serious issues became apparent that I hadn’t been made aware of: - Two tyre pressure sensors were faulty – the warning light came on while driving home. - Wheel alignment was off. - Left fog light wasn’t working. - The car tax hadn’t been paid – I ended up having to cover penalties. - Front brake pads AND discs were completely worn – there’s no way it would have passed the NCT like that. - Just after the warranty expired (3 months / 2,000 km), the engine began overheating – the EGR cooler, gaskets and pipes had to be replaced (€908; May 2025). - Now in June 2025, the car cut out five times during a long weekend drive, refusing to accelerate. A restart fixed it temporarily but I now expect another likely €1,000 in repairs. When I contacted the seller about some of these issues shortly after purchase, I was told the discounted price already “reflected” the condition of the car. In my opinion, that didn’t feel reasonable given the safety-related faults and unexpected costs I encountered within the first few months. Also, the test drive was very short – about five minutes up and down the road – and I was told the delay in collecting the car was due to a “workshop service.” I assumed this meant a full inspection, but it later turned out it only covered the engine. This wasn’t explained to me until after I had paid in full and signed paperwork stating that the warranty and services only cover the engine. I personally wouldn’t buy a car here again, nor would I recommend it to others. What seemed like a bargain ended up costing me nearly €2,500 extra in repairs within six months.
I recently bought a Discovery Sport from John. He has gone over and above looking after me. The car is in pristine condition and John had it fully serviced for me. Couldn't fault this garage and John for the customer care and friendly way they deal with customers.
This is my second time going back to Glassen for a car. I bought a 2014, Porsche Macan from John and he's kept up his high standard of service. The main concern you often have when buying a used car is around the condition of the car and the faults it might have after you leave the dealership. In my case, I had a radio issue which John went above and beyond to resolve, replacing the stock radio with an apple Carplay unit. The reason I will continue to return to Glassen for my cars is down to the service I receive after I pay for the car. Most dealers ignore you once you'd paid where as Glassen stay in touch. Thanks again John!
Bought an 2009, Audi A5 2.7 TDI from John @ Glassen Motor Company. I don't usually write reviews but he deserves one. Really sound guy, very helpful and honest. The price of the car was very reasonable and he had it looking immaculate on pickup. I also had a minor issue with the car to which he resolved straight away. I'll be back! Cheers
