Avoid this dealer – I lost money and got treated terribly. I bought a car from them in March for €15,950. Within weeks, it was burning oil. My mechanic told me to bring it back since it was under warranty. I was told parts were ordered and the car would be “running like new,” but the follow-up was a mess. They stopped replying, delays dragged on, and communication completely changed once they had my money. Eventually I was told it might need an engine rebuild — after being told it was fixed. I picked it up and it immediately went into limp mode. Worse than before. When I pushed for a refund under the Consumer Rights Act, the tone changed completely. I was told I’d be waiting “a year and a half” if I went legal. They even used foul language on the phone and tried to guilt-trip me with excuses that had nothing to do with the situation. In the end I took €14,000 just to end it, but I paid €15,950. I lost nearly €2,000 on a car I barely drove. Do yourself a favour and avoid this place. If something goes wrong, they won’t want to know you.

I recently bought a car from Barry for the second time, so easy to deal with everything was sorted out for me I just to arrive and collect it. Would highly recommend calling down to look at the extensive stock of cars there is something for everyone and no doubt Barry will be of assistance, will definitely use the lads again.

My experience with car salesman, Adam, from Dunshaughlin Motors started out fantastic; unfortunately however, it ended up with me purchasing a costly 12 months car insurance policy, sitting on a train from Bagenalstown to Dublin to collect my new car, with a full cash finance deposit, and major trust issues. I spoke with Adam on Saturday morning of St. Patrick’s Day weekend and we made a deal on the i30N. I was told, in principle, that I was approved financing Saturday afternoon, and that I could come in Monday morning and finalise the few remaining items and collect the car. I spend the remainder of the weekend arrange everything on my end, and I get dropped off at the train station ready to make my 2 hour journey to the dealership. The train arrives, I get on, get comfortable, extremely excited about getting my new car! I thought it was a little strange that Adam had not responded to a few of my texts over the weekend, while I was preparing and paying for everything, so I decided to let him know that I’m on my way up and looking forward to getting the car. Within minutes Adam responded saying that the car was sold Saturday morning and he did not know about it and he is sorry for the inconvenience. It was an expensive lesson on my end. I lost a few hundred euros of truly hard earned cash… However, I learnt a few valuable lessons: 1. Don’t purchase a car from Adam at Dunshaughlin Motors. 2. Always verify what’s being said. Don’t take their word for it because their word simply holds no wait. All in all, it’s just bad reckless business.
