I just relocated to Ireland from the US and gave this dealship a call to ask some questions and right off the bat the person answering was rude. I called them from my US-based number because I haven't had the chance to get an Irish number yet, getting a car being my #1 priority, and they answered with "Hello". I naturally wanted to make sure I called the right number and asked if this was the Dimond car dealership and he answered "You googled me, you know I am a dealership". Not a great start and needing a car I ignored his tone and continued the conversation. Being in Ireland for only 2 weeks I don't yet have a bank account, I don't have credit history in Ireland, or Europe for that matter, and was wondering the method to purchase the car since I can't finance it. The car that I was interested in was only $4,999 and I asked if I can use my credit card. I then started getting cussed out. I politely asked if I did something to offend him and his response was "You are calling from America trying to scam me". I tried to explain that I recently moved to Ireland and haven't gotten a Irish number yet but was interrupted saying that its easy to just get a cheap Irish number. After a few more colorful cuss words I decided that even if we got past this that this isn't a business I would even want to deal with. Which sucks because the car was really nice. If he would have came back in a "we don't accept credit cards due to fraud risk" that would have been fine, I have already got financing from a US credit union and just wanted to put on my credit card for points and for ease of use, instead of taking out the cash, but all I got was cussed out. This business I wouldn't ever call again, much less visit in person or trust it with my car needs.
Exceptional Service and Quality Vehicles My wife recently purchased a car from Diamond Car Sales, and she couldn't be more satisfied with the experience. From the moment she inquired, the team was responsive and professional. The vehicle was in excellent condition, exactly as described, and competitively priced. The staff took the time to ensure she was comfortable with the purchase and provided valuable information throughout the process. Their after-sales service has been equally impressive, with prompt responses to any questions. Highly recommended for anyone seeking quality cars and outstanding customer service.
Went in here for tyre change, syed & his all team is very friendly and pleasant to deal with. No nonsense and good price compared to other places i got quotes from. And the service was fast, so we didn't wait around for long, highly recommended 👌
Had the pleasure of dealing with this business and purchased a new car at a great price. They went above and beyond to make sure it was running perfectly before I picked it up. The staff are great to deal with and clearly put the customer first. Thanks again for my little ADAM 🚗😊
BUYERS BEWARE!! This review was posted in 2022 and I noticed it was no longer visible to the public. Not sure how it was removed, but proceed with caution. Here was our review from early 2022: “Absolute cowboys!! We had seen a great car advertised by Diamond Car Sales on DoneDeal. After talking through all the details with Syed, we had everything including car insurance arranged and made the trip up to Dublin. Upon arriving we were delighted - there was the car. We test drove it and everything was perfect bar a very slight pull to the left from the steering wheel. When we got back we pulled in to go in and pay and get the papers etc, when we asked for a history check, a last thing to look for. Previously I had asked Syed on the phone, who stated that there was no damage to the car, it was never in an accident - what more can you do as a buyer, than ask the salesperson and trust their advice. It also has no service history because it is so new at only 2 years old apparently. To our great surprise, the salesman checked a VMS report on the cars history, realising that the car was an insurance write off. There was 1 owner mentioned on the logbook, whereas 2 are on the history check according to VMS. Amazed, I thought to myself, surely there will be a discount, considering there is considerable damage the salesperson doesn’t even know about himself. I’m told the car was apparently written off, and then bought at auction. The best offer from here on in is a €200 discount and the engineers report to assess the damage paid for by the dealership - lads are ye mad??? Ye jokers. Nice round trip of the country for our sins. Thank the lord we didn’t avail of their nationwide delivery before seeing the car in person. If you want peace of mind, I would look elsewhere. Buyers beware! Very very disappointed all-round. If a price looks too good to be true, it usually is.
