My mum Bought a 242 new Kuga in July 2024. Had continuous decline in the electric battery when fully charged. Brought this to the dealers attention on numerous occasions and was not taken seriously. Finally spoke to the service department and they said they would reset the battery. I was only getting 30km on a 60km battery range at this point. On my way to the garage to have this reset on January 17th 2025 when the panoramic roof shattered and buckled spontaneously while driving. Nothing hit the glass. Customer service is atrocious. I don’t feel safe driving a defective car when fixed. They now want to take the courtesy car off me and give me a hire car instead. Still waiting for this to be resolved. It’s appalling how she has been treated.
Failed to identify a known critical fault My 2019 Ford Fiesta had a full service here in July 2025, including an engine oil change. Just two months later, the engine was destroyed while driving, causing sudden oil pressure loss — a direct safety hazard linked to the well-known Ford 1.0L EcoBoost wet belt failure. Despite the oil change, a key opportunity to spot belt debris, and their report stating “timing belt tested OK”. . When challenged, they refused responsibility and told me to “contact Ford customer care”. They completely failed to diagnose a major, known design defect during a service. Zero accountability.

We had the pleasure of dealing with Matt Alsford when purchasing my latest car.
