Bought a Golf from Byrne Motor Company recently. Car is absolutely perfect and has been from the day i got it. Excellent customer service from start to finish. I bought my first car from Byrne motors a few weeks ago, I dealt with Shane. He was a pleasure to deal with and made the whole process stress-free. He got the car delivered to Sligo for me with no problems. Would highly recommend this garage to family and friends.

I recently enquired about buying a golf from the Byrne Motor company and I am highly disgusted and disappointed with the service I received. Firstly, the car was not on location for the viewing appointment which I previously arranged, I was promised a number of duties would be carried out on the car including an overall service of the car, new NCT, gear box service, valet and timing belt replacement prior to collection of the vechile so I was more then happy to wait five days until the arranged date. The day prior to collecting the car I called the company to confirm they had received my deposit where the member of staff that answered the phone said “ I don’t know i don’t deal with that” and did not bother to look into the matter further. On the arranged date of collection I again called the company to be told the car was not put through the NCT but would be brought to the appointment the following morning. The following day I rang again and was told the car was not brought to the NCT appointment “ because the shocks of the car looked in poor condition and the car would be brought to the NCT sometime by the end of the week”. When I questioned why this was not picked up during the service of the vechile or the weeks prior when the car was in the company’s possession and expressed my disappointment in the business about the whole ordeal I was told “send me your bank information I’ll refund you” completely avoiding my concerns. Later that day I received a phone call from another member of staff where we worked out an agreement but could still not give me definite date to collect the car. I was then called two days after the arranged collection date where I was told “ I have good news and bad news. The car passed the NCT but the gear box has blown up”. Personally this encounter felt like a joke and the matter was not taken seriously. Based on my experience, do not even attempt to purchase a car from this dealership. It was a horrific week long experience from start to finish.

😡NEVER GET YOUR CAR IN THIS PLACE. The worst service ever. The office of this place is a dump. The seller dont wanted show me the car because it said the bank need it aprove my finance first. I just wanted see the car. And when I bought the car the seller didn't allow me to see the car first. Unfortunately the car had a lot of problems starting with the wheels and ending with the engine. They claim warranty, but when you call them, they never answer the phone. They deliver me the car very dirty by inside and outside. 😡

Myself and son drove an hour from Dublin to buy his first car. He did his research with the different car websites and Byrne Motors were the best value. We dealt with Breffni and he made the process very simple and straightforward. The car was immaculate and they offered to deliver it once it was ready but we drove up again a few days later once it was ready. would highly recommend them. Vincent and Leon
