I bought a demo model Peugeot 5008, so essentially a nearly new car. The sales process itself was fine and Darragh was good to deal with - that’s the only reason this isn’t a one-star review. However, not long after purchase the car needed a sensor replacement, which was thankfully covered under warranty. Six months after the first service, the engine repair light came on again. I brought it back to the dealer only to be told the oil was “degraded” and I would have to pay a relatively significant amount for an oil change. This was extremely odd - not only should oil not degrade so quickly, but it had supposedly been changed at the service just six months earlier. It also raises the concern that this error could point to a deeper underlying problem with the car, not just routine oil use. Despite this, the dealer flatly refused to cover the costs or even discuss an alternative solution. It seems that once I had bought my car, my business was no longer valued. I was made to feel like I was only trouble to them rather than a customer they should be looking after. To make matters worse, a brake caliper failed far sooner than it reasonably should have, and that turned into an expensive repair. I didn’t even bother going back to Bluebell for it, as I had already lost confidence in them. It’s almost funny how awful the service department’s customer service is - I’ve bought cars for a quarter of what this one cost and not been treated as an inconvenience when theres been trouble. What they may have saved by refusing to help their customer, they will lose many times over by losing my repeat business. All I really want is a dealer I can trust, somewhere I can confidently buy and service my cars without the hassle of having to look for a new garage every time. Instead, I was left with no choice but to take my business elsewhere. I also emailed Peugeot Ireland directly, but after a long wait their response was basically that it was nothing to do with them. Looking back through reviews, I see that most of the negative ones mention the poor service department - and many are edits of previously positive reviews. That says a lot.

What a pleasure it was dealing with Daragh From start to finish he was a gent. I was trading in my wife car and had an idea of how much it was worth and Daragh was spot on with his appraisal and made the whole experience very easy and enjoyable. Just drove away in our new car and can’t recommend Peugeot Bluebell enough

We bought a car back in November 2024. At the time, we were torn between two options from different dealers. One was a newer, lower-spec car that came with a 24-month warranty and a long NCT. The other, at Bluebell, was a higher-spec car but only included a shorter warranty and a much shorter NCT. After some back and forth between myself, my wife, and Darragh (the salesman), we agreed to what we thought was a fair deal with Bluebell. Darragh assured us that the warranty would run until the NCT date and guaranteed that if there were any issues (outside of normal wear and tear) when the NCT came around, Bluebell would complete any necessary work. Before the NCT was due, we experienced a problem with the car and contacted Bluebell to have it checked. To our shock, we were told that the car was no longer covered under warranty because it had exceeded the mileage limit. The issue was not related to normal wear and tear, and while the repair itself wasn’t overly expensive, the lack of support from Bluebell was extremely disappointing. The aftercare we received from what we believed to be a reputable company has left a bitter taste. Based on our experience, I would strongly urge others to think very carefully before purchasing a car from Bluebell.
