German Autobild is reporting that VW is working on creating a new brand as a joint venture with a Chinese partner to introduce cheap cars to Chinese people living outside of the metropolitan areas. Target is to build cars below 8.000 Euro ($10.700).
The partner in China has not been picked now, but negotiations are on the way. Also the name of the new car brand has not been decided yet.
