VW: Unveiling a new 1-liter concept car at Qatar Motor Show

VW is rumored to unveil a new 1-liter concept car at the Qatar Motor Show.

Information is scarce, but AutoBild says the car will feature a two-cylinder diesel engine and an electric motor that is powered by a lithium-ion battery. The overall premise seems to echo the L1 concept, which debuted at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, but the plug-in hybrid technology would undoubtedly increase fuel efficiency beyond the already impressive 1.2 L/100 km (196 mpg US).
