See all Motoring NewsVolkswagen Ireland have announced their silver-level sponsorship of Dublin Pride 2021. The sponsorship consists of co-branding, virtual parade attendance, vehicle share and employee workshops around LGBTQI awareness topics.
A highlight of the partnership will be a rainbow-wrapped Volkswagen Transporter called the ‘PrideWagen’ that Volkswagen will be supplying to Dublin Pride in order to support logistic requirements and community outreach programmes throughout the summer.
Once again the 2021 Pride parade will be a virtual event due to COVID-19 restrictions. Volkswagen will be represented throughout the broadcast as well as other event elements including at a pop-up Pride Hub on Duke Street in Dublin 2.
Volkswagen say an integral part of the sponsorship will be to deliver seminars from Dublin Pride to Volkswagen Ireland employees around the history of Pride both in Ireland and abroad as well as how best to support LGBTQI colleagues in the workplace.
The partnership falls under the wider umbrella of one of Volkswagen’s core principles – We Live Diversity – which recognises the importance and benefit of
the company celebrating its diverse workplace.
