Tesla’s new Model Y Design Studio has opened in Ireland, with prices starting from €69,800 and first deliveries to start in early 2022. The Design Studio includes two options for Model Y with Long Range AWD and Performance.
Initial deliveries will be for the Model Y Long Range AWD, with a 507 kilometre WLTP range, plenty of storage space and a medical-grade HEPA air filter. The Tesla Model Y Performance starts from €79,478 with deliveries estimated in mid-2022.
The Tesla Model Y is an all-electric, mid-size SUV designed with versatility and safety in mind, offering class-leading range, performance and advanced technology. Inside, the Model Y’s panoramic glass roof and high seating creates a feeling of spaciousness, while the front trunk and split-folding second-row seats provide more than 2,100 litres of storage space.
Like the Tesla Model 3, Model Y connects to your smartphone for seamless entry and exit, with a 15-inch touchscreen system inside for all of the car’s controls. Model Y also connects with the Tesla mobile app for features like remote unlock, Summon, remote pre-conditioning, location tracking, Speed Limit Mode, and much more.
Built from the ground up as an electric vehicle, the Model Y’s centre of gravity, rigid body structure and large crumple zones provide unparalleled protection. Its aerodynamic design and battery technology also make it highly efficient in terms of energy usage, meaning you can achieve better range with less energy.
The Tesla Model Y is also compatible with Tesla’s current Supercharger network of over 6,000 Superchargers across Europe, as well as the new V3 Superchargers, which can charge at rates up to 1,600 kilometres per hour. As with all Teslas, Model Y gets frequent over-the-air software updates.
