See all Motoring NewsThe new Volkswagen Polo GTI has officially arrived in Ireland with a starting price tag of €32,395 or €294 per month on personal contract plan finance (PCP).
The Polo GTi’s 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine now churns out 200 horsepower and 320Nm torque. It also has a six-speed DSG automatic transmission as standard, which means it can sprint from 0-100km/h in 6.7 seconds, just shy of the latest Volkswagen Golf GTI.
From the outside, a red stripe in the front grille, 17-inch Milton Keynes alloy wheels and sporty diffusers set the GTI apart from the standard Polo. Inside, features Volkswagen’s iconic "Clark" seat covers, a GTI gear knob and a sports steering wheel lend the cabin a sporty feel.
Standard kit is impressive, with Park Distance Control, Adaptive Cruise Control, An Electronic Differential Lock and Volkswagen’s Driving Profile Selection system all included. A Technology Upgrade is also available at a discounted rate of €499 for a limited time, which adds a Rear View Camera, Folding Mirrors, Active Info Display and a Lights and Vision Package.
