The new Amarok boasts a striking design, advanced technological innovations, and cutting-edge assistance systems, ensuring a seamless driving experience both on and off the road. With powerful and fuel-efficient four- and six-cylinder turbo diesel engines, the Amarok solidifies its position as the undisputed leader in its class when it comes to off-road capabilities.
The Double Cab variant of the new Amarok offers spaciousness and practicality, with a towing capacity of 3,500kg and a payload of up to 1.19 tonnes. Starting from July, Irish customers can choose from various trim levels, with prices beginning at €47,355 for the entry-level Amarok 2.0TDI 168HP.
The second-generation Amarok builds upon the success of its predecessor by incorporating over 25 assistance systems, infotainment displays of up to 12.3 inches, and premium materials throughout the vehicle. With an increased length of 5,350mm and a longer wheelbase of 3,270mm, the new Amarok provides more space in the double cab while delivering enhanced proportions and improved off-road capabilities.
Designed for versatility, the Amarok is equipped with standard all-wheel drive, ensuring exceptional performance in any situation. The lineup includes three turbo diesel engine options, ranging from a 168HP 2.0-litre TDI engine in the entry-level models to a refined V6 TDI power plant with 237HP in the higher trim levels. The availability of a 10-speed automatic transmission further enhances the driving experience.
Safety and convenience are paramount in the new Amarok, with up to 25 assistance systems offered, including automatic cruise control, parking assistant, 360-degree all-round view, lane change assistant, and road sign recognition. The exterior design features LED headlights, distinctive wheel arches, and prominent Amarok branding, while the interior offers functional controls, digital screens, and high-quality finishes reminiscent of the luxurious Volkswagen Touareg.
The Amarok range starts at €47,355 and includes generous standard equipment, such as power folding mirrors, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay integration, VW Connect with eCall Emergency System, LED headlights, and a 10.1-inch infotainment system. Upgrading to higher trim levels introduces additional features and amenities, including larger alloy wheels, leather seats, advanced sound systems, and various driver assistance technologies.
Cargo capacity is another highlight of the Amarok, with a spacious and adaptable cargo bed capable of accommodating Euro pallets in different orientations. Robust lashing rings and an increased tail lift height ensure secure transportation of goods. Furthermore, optional accessories such as alloy wheels, bike holders, and roll covers provide further customization options for customers.
For seamless connectivity, Amarok models equipped with 12-inch infotainment systems come with VW Connect Navigation, offering real-time traffic information, route calculation, map updates, parking and fuel station information, and weather updates. The WeConnect ID. App enables smartphone integration and remote interaction, while the integrated eSIM allows for over-the-air infotainment updates.
