Reliable mobility is crucial for parents, with 87% depending on driving as their primary transport mode, compared to 78% of non-parents. Ownership rates also reflect this need, as 71% of parents own their car solely, versus 66% of non-parents, highlighting the importance of readily accessible transportation for family life. Furthermore, parents hold a driver’s licence at a notable rate of 98%, compared to 94% of the general population.
The necessity for a reliable personal vehicle is further underscored by the fact that only 12% of carless parents feel they don't need one, compared to 52% of non-parents.
