Road Tax for Electric Vehicles
The annual road tax rate for an electric vehicle in Ireland is a fixed rate of €120 per year currently. Electric vehicles are the lowest tax band for motor tax.
Home Charger Grant Ireland
The scheme which is run via the SEAI provides a grant up to the value of €300 towards the purchase and installation of a home charger unit. To receive payment, you must ensure that you use a Safe Electric Registered Electrical Contractor.
