Volkswagen Polo recalled

What's new?
Volkswagen Ireland has announced the recall of 1,256 examples of the Polo to attend to potentially cracked fuel filters.

The model affected is the 70hp 1.2-litre TDI model produced between 2010 and 2014. The issue being discovered by a Quality Assurance team at Volkswagen head office in Wolfsburg in Germany.

In rare cases the movement of the fuel line in relation to the engine can lead to a crack in the fuel filter, leading to a leak of diesel and the smell of fuel inside the car.

Volkswagen Ireland assures drivers that there is no cause for concern and that all affected customers will be contacted to arrange the remedial work, which will of course be carried out free of charge.
