Commenting on the news, David Shannon, Managing Director of Toyota Ireland said:

"We’re very proud to have hit the 500,000 sales milestone and would like to thank our loyal customers for their continued support over the years since Toyota first began selling vehicles in Ireland in 1972. We are confident that the quality, reliability, value and choice inherent in the Toyota brand are key contributing factors to the reason why 90% of the people who buy Toyota remain loyal Toyota customers and repurchase. "

"With a great start to 2011 and a number 1 ranking in sales and scrappage, we are laying the very early ground works for the next 500,000 sales."
