It has been a long winter of discontent for the motoring fan with only Fast and Loud and reruns of Wheeler Dealers to keep us amused as the temperature dropped, but that is all about to end. Top Gear is back!
Taking up residency on its usual Sunday evening slot from February 2 the new series looks set to be the usual mix of Stig hot laps, stars in reasonably priced cars and plenty of jokes between Clarkson and Hammond at poor James May's expense.
There will also be the McLaren P1, the stunning Alfa Romeo 4C and the ludicrous six-wheeled Mercedes-Benz G 63 AMG 6x6. Somewhere in between the trio find time to take a trip through Burma and Thailand in some questionably coloured trucks and drive a Volkswagen Golf through a shopping centre - as you do.
