The All-New DS 7 CROSSBACK - The Next Generation SUV

The new  DS 7 CROSSBACK is the first of the second-generation models from DS Automobiles. The luxury compact SUV is set to take on the likes of Audi, BMW, Mercedes and Jaguar in the premium small SUV segment. It is the first model to be built from the ground up by the French manufacturers, whereas other models like the DS 3, DS 4 and DS 5 were originally labelled under the Citroen DS category.

DS 7 CROSSBACK Exterior 

From the first look, the DS 7 CROSSBACK is instantly eye-catching. A sophisticated hexagonal rim surrounds the diamond shaped grille mesh which hosts the aluminium DS badge at the centre. On either side of the grille stunning LED headlights come alive when the  DS 7 CROSSBACK is unlocked. The LED modules swivel through 180-degrees then give off a purple light to welcome passengers aboard. Sharp lines on the bonnet and along the sides of the SUV give it a sculpted, muscular look that enhances the DS 7 CROSSBACK's presence on the road. There are also 3D full LED lights at the rear which were inspired by the DS E-Tense concept car that almost resembles scales of a reptile.

DS 7 CROSSBACK Interior

When you step inside the DS 7 CROSSBACK you are immediately hit by premium quality. The first thing you notice is the large 12-inch HD touch screen in the middle of the dash. The infotainment system gives you access to a number of in-car features as well as both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. All of the dials and switches inside the DS 7 CROSSBACK have been designed based on the diamond shape of the DS logo, which gives the interior a contemporary and chic look. DS 7 CROSSBACK's sound system features France's leading supplier of professional, home and car audio FOCAL. This top of the range system is made up of 14 speakers carefully positioned around the cockpit for a uniquely immersive listening experience.

In the rear, passengers can sit back and relax with seats that recline electrically from 23 to 32-degrees. There are 555-litres of boot space in the DS 7 CROSSBACK which is on the larger side when comparing to that of the BMW X1 and Audi Q3. Select trims also include a panoramic sunroof, electric tailgate which can be opened and closed by moving your foot beneath the rear bumper as well as keyless entry and start.

DS 7 CROSSBACK Engines

The DS 7 CROSSBACK is available with a choice of dynamic petrol or diesel engines. Powerful and efficient, these conform to the latest exhaust emissions standards (Euro 6.2) and stand out through their remarkable torque. They’ve been made smoother and more responsive thanks to a new 8-speed automatic gearbox. And technologies such as 200-bar injection pressure for the PureTech petrol engine and Stop & Start technology in both PureTech and BlueHDi engines, ensure reduced consumption and CO2 emissions.

From Spring 2019 there will also be an E-TENSE plug-in hybrid version made available. This powerful model signifies performance and efficiency with 300hp, four-wheel drive and 60km range in zero emissions mode.

DS 7 CROSSBACK Driving Technology 

The DS 7 CROSSBACK hosts a range of the brand's new generation of driving aids. DS Connected Pilot is a step closer to autonomous driving but still allows you retake full control of the car at any point. The innovative system regulates the speed and distance in relation to the vehicle in front. It also positions DS 7 CROSSBACK precisely in its lane by controlling the steering. Operable between 0 and 112mph, it can come to a complete stop and set off again. Parking is also made easier with DS Park Pilot, this new driver aid enables the DS 7 CROSSBACK to park itself parallel to the kerb or in a bay without the driver touching the steering wheel or pedals

Another impressive driving feature is the DS Active Scan Suspension which analyses the road ahead and adjusts automatically, allowing the vehicle to handle imperfections in the road’s surface with ease.

DS 7 CROSSBACK Price 

The All-New DS 7 CROSSBACK Petrol is available to order from €36,000 and comes in three different trim levels Elegance, Performance Line and Prestige. Diesel models start from €38,300 with an additional Ultra Prestige trim that includes 20-inch ‘TOKYO’ Black Onyx diamond-cut alloy wheels, electric opening panoramic sunroof and more.
