Skoda is officially the best taxi

Skoda has been voted taxi 'Drivers Choice' at the 2014 Taxi Driver Federation Industry awards. Founded this year the Taxi News Awards program was designed to reward entities who serve the industry. The thoughts and opinions of taxi drivers were collated through a series of interviews to evaluate the products and services available to Irish taxi drivers.

Patrick Quinn of Taxi News said: "In respect of both the Skoda Octavia and the Superb, we have determined that these two offerings from Skoda afford the Irish Taxi Driver with excellent working vehicles. These vehicles are of outstanding build quality and reliability. They are proven to be durable, comfortable, solid, economic and spacious. In particular, the Superb boasts a rear legroom that rivals and exceeds that of more expensive executive type vehicles. These vehicles also maintain very healthy resale values which is in part due to Skoda's capacity for phenomenally high mileage. We are pleased to reward this most deserving of quality marques with the Taxi News "Drivers Choice" Award for 2014."

Skoda's brand director said that the company was delighted with the result, describing it as a testament to the reliability and longevity of the company's vehicles.

And finally...
Dealers across Ireland are offering finance with interest rates from 1.42% APR. In addition, Skodas purchased in July will come with three years' free servicing and IFA members can get a €1,000 deposit contribution on any new car purchased through Skoda Finance.
