Skoda announced pricing for Superb

Skoda Ireland has confirmed official pricing for the recently facelifted Superb range. The largest Skoda in the current line-up now has a smaller price tag than ever before, starting at €25,495 for the entry-level 1.4-litre TSI petrol saloon.

The Superb has always represented good value in terms of size and while the now keenly priced entry-level version may grab the headlines the model that will likely be of greater interest to buyers in Ireland will be the economical 1.6-litre TDI diesel saloon, which has proven to be a big hit with both private and business buyers. In Active trim this car now starts at €26,495. That includes features such as Bluetooth, while LED rear lights have been added to all variants.

As was announced during the unveiling of the Superb's new look at the Shanghai Auto Show back in April, all engines will now come with start-stop to help further fuel economy. In the case of the 1.6-litre TDI engine, fuel consumption of 4.2 litres/100km is quoted by Skoda while emissions for the range topping 2.0-litre TDI diesel engine have fallen by 20g/km, which sees savings of €120 per year in road tax.

Buyers are now able to order the revamped Superb though dealerships nationwide with deliveries coming just in time for the new 132 registration plate in July.
