Seven-seat Citroen MPV on sale

Citroen has launched the seven-seat Grand C4 Picasso onto the Irish market with prices starting from €26,795.

What's the news?
Following on the recent success of its new C4 Picasso MPV, Citroen has launched the seven-seat Grand C4 Picasso onto the Irish market with prices starting from €26,795, a €2,300 step up from the five-seat model. The larger MPV carries over many of the five-seat C4 Picasso's style features such as the sleek LED daytime running lights and large panoramic windscreen. Inside, the contemporary dashboard design also carries the dual-screen setup, one of which is a touchscreen that encompasses controls for much of the car's systems - such as climate and infotainment.

Citroen will offer the Grand C4 Picasso with a range of engines including a new eHDi 90 four-cylinder diesel that has CO2 emissions of just 98g/km. A more powerful 2.0-litre BlueHDi 150 engine is also being offered and is available in both six-speed manual and a new six-speed automatic, which is noticeably smoother to drive than previously offered automatic options. Buyers will have a choice of four different trim levels: VTR, VTR+, Exclusive and Exclusive+. Both Exclusive trim lines also feature larger 17-inch alloy wheels as standard.

Anything else?
Tending to family needs, there is no lack of space inside thanks to a 645-litre boot that grows to 793 litres of useable space when the two rear seats are folded down. Like the smaller C4 Picasso, the middle row of seats is capable of accommodating three Isofix child seats while the completely flat floor means that legroom isn't compromised.
