With close to a million viewers per episode it was only a matter of time before the stars of RTE hit series Love/Hate began to attract the attention of brands outside of Montrose and it looks like Laurance Kinlan is the first to benefit.
Laurance, or Eric 'Elmo' Creed as he is more commonly known, has just been announced as a brand ambassador for Spanish brand SEAT with a hot Leon FR delivered to him just in time to escape the clutches of Nidge.
The Emocion Red Leon may seem a bit conspicuous for a character recently labelled a rat and likely to be keeping his head down but Laurence is a SEAT fan at heart saying "The first car I ever drove was a SEAT and I have had two SEATs since. I'm really impressed with the new SEAT Leon FR model - It is a stylish looking car, great to drive and functional too".
SEAT is of course delighted with the association: "We are very proud and excited to have Laurence as a brand ambassador," said Cian O'Brien, Director of SEAT Ireland. "He is an extremely talented and popular actor and has amassed many fans through his performances on Love/Hate."
"We look forward to working with him throughout the year and we hope he enjoys driving the stylish new SEAT Leon, which is a very important car for us".
In his role as a brand ambassador, Laurence will host a series of workshops for up and coming actors in SEAT dealerships around the country, details of which can be found on the SEAT Ireland Facebook page www.Facebook.com/SEATireland
We await word on whether Tom 'Nidge' Vaughan-Lawlor has been approached by Lexus looking to update his RX 300 or if Hyundai is likely to give Peter 'Fran' Coonan's aging H100 panel van a replacement...
