We all know that person who spends more on their stereo setup than they do on the rest of their house, and now that person has an ideal car - the Volkswagen Polo beats. As the name suggests, it comes equipped with a stereo designed for the car by the now-legendary Beats Entertainment, originally established by hip-hop superstar Dr. Dre.
So, the 300W system gets an eight-channel amplifier with a Digital Sound Processor for, apparently, "crystal clear sound." There are seven high-end loudspeakers in the cabin, including two tweeters in the windscreen pillars, two woofers in the front doors, two broad-band loudspeakers in the back and a sub-woofer in the boot.
According to Volkswagen, "no matter whether it is hip hop, heavy metal, rock, pop or electronic music - you can really feel the music in the new beats special editions."
Away from the stereo itself, the Polo beats gets 16-inch alloy wheels, coloured door mirrors, a gloss black radiator and some Beats badging. You can only get it with the 75hp 1.0-litre petrol engine and the price tag is €20,120. On top of that, there is a limited offer at the moment of free insurance for a year if you take out a finance package from Volkswagen Bank.
"The Polo remains a very important car for us here in Ireland and it has been a favourite in this country for over 40 years now," said Volkswagen Ireland Brand Director Gerrit Heimberg. "The new beats version offers a new angle on the Polo and will very much appeal to a younger buyer and in particular, any audiophiles thanks to its very special audio system."
