The new generation Peugeot Expert van has arrived in Ireland and is now available in a choice of body styles, with prices from €21,520 plus delivery (€17,553 before VAT). There are two trim levels, Active and Professional, plus useful options including keyless entry with hands free sliding doors.

The standard body style is the panel van with crew cab, while platform cab versions are available to special order. There are three body lengths; Compact is 4.6 metres, Standard measures 4.95 metres and Long comes in at 5.30 metres. Peugeot has reduced the height of the latest Expert to less than 1.9 metres, which means it is low enough to fit under most car park height restrictions. Carrying capacity is between 5.1 and 6.6 cubic metres. Depending on version the maximum payload can be 1,000kg or 1,400kg.

All models get driver's seat lumbar adjustment, electric windows and electrically adjustable heated door mirrors. Active trim includes a dual passenger seat with under seat storage, DAB radio, Bluetooth, USB and audio jack and three 12-volt power sockets between the cabin and the load area.

Professional trim adds air conditioning and a seven-inch touch screen with Mirror Screen plus voice recognition. A feature called coffee break alert indicates two hours continuous driving. Extra load capacity is provided by the Moduwork full steel bulkhead with load-through flap under the outer passenger seat; allowing the van to carry objects up to four metres long. In addition, the Moduwork dual passenger bench seat features a fold up outer seat, a fold-down writing table in the central seat back and storage under the central seat.

Engine choices are 1.6-litre with 95hp or 115hp and 2.0 BlueHDi 120hp, all Euro6 compliant.
