PININFARINA FINISHES UNIQUE 'NEW STRATOS'

Wealthy German car nut Michael Stoschek last week finally took delivery of the unique Pininfarina-reimagined Lancia Stratos at the company's HQ in Turin.

Stoschek must have been chuffed to finally get hold of the car, which has been in development for two years.

The New Stratos was engineered almost from scratch by Pininfarina; even though it uses the engine, chassis and drivetrain from a Ferrari F430 Scuderia, both chassis and engine have been significantly modified.

Although exactly how modified the car has been we don't yet know; Pinifarina will announce the full technical and performance specification for the New Stratos at a later date.

There are rumours, among those of an optimistic persuasion, that Pininfarina might do a limited production run of the New Stratos, too, but for now it remains a solidly unique creation.

So don't crash it, Herr Stoschek...
