Opel creates jobs with network expansion

Opel Ireland has announced that it is to expand its existing dealer network with the opening of four new dealerships.

Opel Ireland has announced that it is to expand its existing dealer network with the opening of four new dealerships in Carlow, Kildare, Limerick and Offaly. This brings the total number of Opel dealerships in Ireland to 35.

In Carlow and Naas a total of 44 jobs will be secured thanks to the appointment of Fitzpatrick's Garages to the Opel network. Meanwhile an additional 20 new jobs are to be created with the opening of Hinchy's Opel in Limerick City with a further six new jobs going to the O'Brien Group in Tullamore, Co. Offaly.

The O'Brien Group, the most recently appointed to the Opel network, brings over 45 years of customer service experience and has recently undergone huge expansion of its business. O'Brien's is in the process of building a brand new dealership that will be located on the Church Road, Tullamore, Co. Offaly and will boast a state of the art showroom and aftersales service workshop.

Commenting on the expansion, Dave Sheeran, Managing Director of Opel Ireland said: "Our customers are at the forefront of everything that we do. We have invested heavily in establishing a trusted dealer network to ensure our customers have a dedicated and professional service no matter where they are located."
