New special edition Mercedes C-Class
What's the news?
Mercedes-Benz Ireland has announced that it will be adding more equipment to the current C-Class that will give it a sportier appearance. The cars, which will be badged as Edition C, will feature enhanced AMG body styling along with a host of other additional extras - depending on model choice. Prospective customers will be able to get themselves up to €4,500 worth of optional extras for no additional cost.
The Edition C will feature AMG-styled bodywork in the form of front and rear aprons, as well as side sill panels on Avantgarde trim levels. The front grille's inset star and fins are both finished in a high gloss black as are the 17-inch alloy wheels. Dark tinted headlight units and chromed exhaust tips complete the aggressive styling of the Edition C.
On the inside, the sports seats have been covered in Artico leather, which has fibre inlays and some contrasting top stitching that is also replicated on the door panels and gear selector. The Edition C also features a Nappa leather four-spoke multi-function steering wheel, dark aluminium trim and a colour infotainment display nestled into the instrument cluster. Completing the sporting look is a black fabric headlining and floor mats, which like the seats, have contrasting top-stitching.
In addition to the stylish features of the Edition C, Mercedes-Benz will also include Parktronic and the Attention Assist feature whereby the car detects potential drowsiness in the driver and issues an alert. Buyers will be able to order the Edition C with the same engines that are currently offered in the C-Class.
The Edition C cars will be go on sale from January, just in time for the '141' plate and will be sold as an additional styling pack on top of the standard models. Buyers will be able to save up to €4,500 with the additional extras that come with the pack.
