Santa Claus' army of elves is going to be busy over the festive season after a fleet of MINIs delivered the world's longest wish list to Santa's home in Lapland. The list, verified by the Guinness World Record judges, is 3,798 metres long and contains nearly 76,000 individual wishes from children and adults from countries all over the world.

A fleet of eight MINIs (under the banner of MINI Goes to Santa Claus) left MINI headquarters in Munich on November 24 bound for the Santa Claus Post Office in Rovaniemi, considered to be Santa's summer home before he moves to the his North Pole factory. Along the 3,500km trip, which took in cities such as Copenhagen and Stockholm, the MINI team continued to collect signatures before meeting up with legendary rally driver Rauno "The Flying Finn" Aaltonen who guided them to the rendezvous with Santa in the new MINI Paceman complete with ALL4 four-wheel drive system.
