Lexus focuses on used cars

Lexus Ireland has launched two used car programmes for Irish buyers, designed to cater for those buying recent cars, or much older models.

Let's start with Lexus Select, which is designed for second hand Lexus cars that are less than seven years old, and which have not covered more than 160,000km. To become a Lexus Select car, any model will have to pass a 100-point check, plus a safety check-over, and a specific 'hybrid health' check for models with batteries.

According to Lexus Ireland, "Lexus Select is designed to give customers greater benefits and peace of mind when purchasing a used Lexus vehicle. Only participating Lexus Retailers can provide the benefits, expertise and levels of customer service that Lexus is renowned for."

Each vehicle in the programme will come with 24 months' warranty and 24 months' roadside assistance.

But maybe you want to bag a bit more of a bargain, and go for something a little older than that? Well, good news - Lexus is also creating a Premium Used car programme, specifically catering for cars that are aged between seven and ten years, and which have covered between 160,000 and 200,000km in total. Again, each car will be put through a 100-point checkover, a safety check and a hybrid health check, and these cars will have 12 months' warranty and 12 months' roadside assistance.

Both programmes will have specially tailored finance packages available too, through Lexus Financial Services. Ian Corbett, Head of Lexus Ireland, commented: "Lexus Ireland has always been committed to delivering an amazing experience for all customers and we are delighted to launch Lexus Select providing great benefits and peace of mind for customers who want to purchase an approved used Lexus from our retailer network. More people than ever want to move to premium self-charging hybrid technology and Lexus Select will allow them to buy a used Lexus with complete confidence."
