See all Motoring NewsIf you've ever fancied a current Land Rover Discovery then now is the time to buy. Not only will there be an all-new Discovery arriving in dealerships in the not too distant future, but Land Rover has, as do most car makers, announced some special editions to keep interest in the current car alive until the new one is ready.
You can choose from two new editions - Landmark and Graphite. Landmark gets some unique 'Zanzibar' orange paint (other colours are available) and has bright silver finishes for the roof rails and badges, with a standard full-leather interior in either Ebony, Almond or Tan. There are also some massive 20-inch alloys and walnut or piano black wood inside.
The Graphite model comes with graphite grey finish for the grilles, vents and door handles and rides on 19-inch alloys, which are also finished in a high-gloss grey colour. Both models, along with the rest of the Discovery 4 range, also get upgraded to the new Land Rover InControl touchscreen system, which is a major improvement on the old one. Tow Hitch Assist is available as an option to help hitch a trailer to the tow bar and Towing Assist acts as an extra pair of eyes as the vehicle is manoeuvred into position. Safety and security options - such as Blind Spot Monitoring, Closing Vehicle Sensing and Reverse Traffic Detection - offer the driver further assistance when out on the road. The engine for both new special editions remains the 3.0-litre SDV6 diesel, delivering 256hp, 36.7mpg (7.7 litres/100km) on the combined cycle and a CO2 figure of 203g/km.
