Is this the most expensive parking space in the world?

The world may be on the verge of financial collapse but that has not stopped one New York property developer's plans to put a parking space up for sale with a $1 million price tag.

The world may be on the verge of financial collapse but that has not stopped one New York property developer's plans to put a parking space up for sale with a $1 million price tag.

According to reports from the New York Post, developer, Morad Fareed, will ask the astronomical fee for the private off-street garage at 66 E. 11th St. in Manhattan when the $120 million refurbishment of a pre-war loft is completed in autumn. Measuring 12 feet wide, 23 feet long and more than 15 feet high the space is said to be ideal for "someone who wants complete privacy... like a celebrity or a business person who is camera shy... as you can drive in and not be seen again." The buyer can even 'duplex' the space by installing an elevator to store their daily driven Bentley or Maybach with space for the Lamborghini that is used at the weekend for trips to the Hamptons.

The garage is not the only exceptional thing about the exclusive development. The $38.8 million penthouse features showers pumped full of vitamin C and Aloe Vera while lighting and air quality is designed to provide its pampered residents with a better night's sleep.

Buyers could instead plumb for the development at 200 11th Avenue that features a 300-square foot en-suite 'sky' garage complete with car elevator. A snip at a mere $7 million.
