Ice, ice baby!

Following hot on the wheels of the RS Mega Man-Pram comes the latest product of Skoda engineers' warped minds; the RS Ice Cream Van.

Skoda set its engineers the task of "bringing the same qualities that go into the car to other everyday objects" and logically that leads to a twenty-one foot tall ice-cream van fitted with five-foot monster truck wheels and four mega speakers.

Unlike the Mega-Pram, which was just designed for an advert, the Ice Cream Van will actually go on tour, dispensing free ice cream along the way. The XXXL vehicle was unveiled at Great Yarmouth in the UK and will tour the country taking in such events as the Bournemouth Air Festival, the Royal County of Berkshire Show at Newbury as well as supporting the Skoda sponsored Tour of Britain cycle race.

Naturally, because of its undoubted off-road capabilities, it will only cover the various 'King of the Mountain' stages, but that's probably for the best. Can you imagine how much the public liability insurance would be for a vehicle that requires children to climb a step ladder to get a free ice-cream?
